Favorites | Fall Edition 2017

Friday, October 20, 2017

Hellooo, it's October. Not quite the ideal fall weather yet here in New York, but the mornings and nights are getting chilly with crisper air, so that means fall is officially starting. It's no secret that I love fall. As my mom says "it's my season". It's such a cozy time of year. Bundling up, spending time with loved ones, sipping hot tea, and the warmth of fall colors all around you. I'm really sad that my fall is going to be super busy with heavy rotations, but I'm trying to have some fall fun in the bits of time I have off. But as a tradeoff, I'll have a lot of free time during the Christmas/winter season, which I'm very happy about. I also have real Thanksgiving plans this year unlike last year. I'm going to one of my best friends' house for Thanksgiving dinner and then planning on hosting Friendsgiving at my place on the Saturday after.

Moving on to fall favorites, you'll notice that a lot of these are more lifestyle favorites. I've gone through a bit of makeup breakup in the past few months. I just haven't felt like wearing makeup and have been going bare faced to work most days. Working on changing that, but for now these are the things I've been calling my true loves this end of summer/fall season.

NARS Blush in 'Sin' - plummy-golden blush that's perfect for autumn looks

Neutrogena Healthy Skin Blush in 'Flushed'  -- a brightening, beautiful coral-pink blush perfect for days you need a little pick me up.

ColourPop Pressed Powder Shadows in 'You Know The Drill', 'Wake Up Call', 'Bel Air' -- creamy, beautiful, blendable, richly pigmented, and only $5 a pop. Enough said. My two favorite mattes are "Wake Up Call" and "Bel Air" which work great as transition shades or even by themselves for a soft everyday look. "You Know the Drill" is a beautiful champagne-rose gold that is the perfect shimmery shade for everyday looks. I never get complimented on my makeup, but whenever I wear this shade I get multiple compliments a day, no joke.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in 'Radiant Light' -- you guys know I'm not a highlighter fan but this highlight just lifts up the cheeks for a very subtle, office-appropriate glow

OGX Thick and Full Biotin & Collagen Shampoo and Conditioner -- I've only used these once but I'm already obsessed. Even after one use, my hair feels so much stronger and fuller. I can't wait to see how this fixes my hair with continued use.

OGX Nourishing Coconut Oil Weightless Hydrating Oil Mist -- coconut oil has a bad reputation of weighing down hair. This product, however, adds a ton of shine to hair, but is uber light and smells amaaaazing. Another fave OGX product.

Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte & Maple Pecan Latte -- what's a fall favorites post without some sort of Starbucks drink? This year, both the classic PSL and the new maple pecan latte have been my favorites. The maple pecan latte sounds like it would give you a toothache, but it's a very warm blend of spices and nutty flavors with just a hint of sweetness. Really a must try this fall season!

Spotify Autumn Acoustic Playlist -- Guys, I have to say that subbing to Spotify Premium is one of the best investments I make each month. This month I have been obsessed with the "Autumn Acoustic" playlist. I listen to it constantly when I'm at my desk just internet surfing or catching up on work. It's a super relaxing playlist full of acoustic indie tracks, and feels absolutely heart-warming on cold fall mornings and nights.

Bath & Body Works 3-Wick Candle in 'Pumpkin Pecan Waffles' -- Each year I have a favorite BBW candle and this year, Pumpkin Pecan Waffles take the prize. Smells like a bakery inside your house and has a very strong throw!

Half Baked Harvest Cookbook by Tieghan Gerard -- Last but certainly not least is this cookbook...aka my new obsession. I'm trying to get into cooking and healthy eating, but I can't stand a lot of "diet" blogs because they make such bland, disgusting food. Enter HBH. She has so many recipes that are easy to make, easy to add vegetables to/customize, healthy but still delicious, and best of all they're very comfort-type of foods, which are my favorite. The way she presents the recipes is perfection. I kid you not, every recipe I try off her book or blog turns out delicious. If you're like me and want to start eating healthier, but still want flavorful, easy to make food, go check out her blog and buy her book. Best $20 ever spent.

Blogmas 2016 : Day 7 : Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffins

Wednesday, December 7, 2016

These last few days have been a bit crazy. I registered for Step 3 and have been trying to come up with a study schedule, but haven't quite decided on the best approach for studying, especially since I'm going to be a on a busy service for the next two months. I've also been trying to fit in exercise, but failing miserably (more on that in a blog post later this week). I also have a bunch of stuff I need to get done that I've been failing at. Instead of getting stuff done, I've been loitering around and have been so unproductive, it's shameful. And today I drank three cups of coffee and now my stomach feels super queasy. Not fun.

Yesterday, however, I did manage to make some pumpkin cream cheese muffins! I'll be honest, I didn't make these from scratch. This recipe is purely boxed, but I wanted to share with you because I was amazed by the results. I bought the Pillsbury Perfectly Pumpkin Cake Mix back in October but didn't have the time to bake until recently. Definitely wanted to use this mix up during the holiday season! I don't know what encouraged me to buy this because I'm not the biggest fan of pumpkin desserts and the pumpkin baking mixes I've tried in the past have been waaaaayyy too artificial tasting. So to my surprise, these cupcake/muffins turned out absolutely delicious. They have just the right amount of pumpkin flavor without being overpowering or too spice-y. I topped off the muffins with the Duncan Hines Whipped Cream Cheese Frosting using my nifty Wilton Decorating Bags and a closed-star icing tip.

Together with the cream cheese frosting, these muffins taste absolutely delicious. It's not too sweet, which is the best part. It took a total of one hour to make from mixing the ingredients to frosting the muffins. You can make the muffins look professional by using different shaped icing tips to pipe on the frosting. Definitely a quick, delicious, easy dessert to make for parties and holiday gatherings.

Hope you enjoyed this quick, easy baking post. I'm going to be making sugar cut-out cookies either this weekend or next, so watch out for that post coming soon! :)

#healthyholidays Day 7 : For the past three days, I've been tracking my daily intake on MyFitnessPal. I'm on a 3 day streak! I haven't tracked my daily intake regularly since like last year, so this is definitely a big achievement. I've been eating roughly 1500-1600 calories per day, which is a good goal for gradual weight loss. I didn't want to jump from binge eating to restricting my calories to 1200, so this is perfect. Once I start exercising, I think I'll start losing weight even with eating 1,500 net calories per day. I still get hungry in between meals because I'm so used to eating large portions, but I'm hoping this will change with time and less binge eating. Since I've been tracking my calories, I've been feeling a lot lighter and less bloated. I've also been trying to drink at least 40oz of water per day, which helps reduce bloat even more. The weekend is going to be a challenge, since that's the time I usually get derailed, so keeping my fingers crossed.

October Favorites ♥

Saturday, November 5, 2016

Welcome to November! Crazy to think that this year is just flying by and it's almost time for Christmas. Is it almost time for 24/7 Christmas carols on the radio yet? That's my favorite time of the year. Although this year is going to be a little sad because I'm going to be alone without family for the holidays for the first time. I think after Christmas is going to be even more sad. That time of the year just gets really really depressing.

I finally started playing around with makeup again towards the middle of October! God, I missed makeup. My favorites this month definitely have a common theme. Sheer rosy lip colors and brown neutral shadows pretty much summarizes it. Oh and plus a lot of these are rediscoveries and have been featured in previous favorites, so expect nothing new and shiny here :)

Makeup Geek Eyeshadow in Purely Naked -- I've had this on my eyelids most of October. This is my perfect everyday all-over-the-lid shade that's mostly matte with just a touch of sparkle and sheen. It makes a beautiful matte eye look when paired with Frappe in the crease and Peach Smoothie in the inner corner. This brand makes amazing matte eyeshadows, highly highly recommend if you're new to makeup and want high-quality but decently priced matte eyeshadows.

Burberry Wet/Dry Silk Eyeshadow in Pale Barley -- I really disliked this product when I first purchased it. However, after wearing a few times this this month I realized that it's actually a pretty unique shade in my collection. It doesn't make my eye area look dull and saggy like most other cool-toned taupe brown eyeshadows do, and brightens my eyes without looking too crazy or out-there. Plus, the formula of these shadows is buttery and silky, just like the name suggests. Oh, and let's be honest -- the classic Burberry packaging is everything.

Fresh Sugar Rose Tinted Lip Treatment -- How did I not become obsessed with this product earlier?! I've seriously had a hard time putting down this baby down for the last few weeks. It's such a beautiful sheer rosey-pinky-red color for the fall. Mixed with the sleek packaging and lemon-sugar scent of Fresh products, it's a true winner this month.

Fresh Sugar Shine Lip Treatment in Rose -- When I haven't been wearing the Rose tinted lip treatment, I've been wearing the lip gloss equivalent. Again, a beautiful sheer deep pink-red color for the fall with a delicious lemony sweet scent and super easy application even when you're not near a mirror. Agreed with the name, this product definitely makes your lips shine!

Dior Addict Lip Gloss in Diablotine -- Told you this month it's all about the sheer red glosses and lip balms. I'm sure you guys recognize this lip gloss from multiple other posts. Dior Addict glosses have quickly become my favorite glosses on the market. I truly feel like a princess every time I carry one of these tubes in my bag. I haven't reached for this color too much before this month, but I don't know why. This color is a beautiful watermelon pink that applies so easily on the lips and leaves them super glossy and shiny. Love, love, love the brush applicator.

Sephora Daily Brush Cleanser -- Silly thing to love this month, but one of my new goals for the remainder of the year is to wash my makeup brushes more frequently. I used to hate the old formula of this cleanser because it was so greasy and left an oily residue on my hands and the brushes after I cleaned them. However, they recently re-formulated it and it's soooo much better! No more greasy residue, and my brushes are left super clean and soft.

Fall Apartment Tour

Wednesday, November 2, 2016

Good morning guys! I got my second cup of coffee right next to me and I'm ready to get some serious blogging done. I'm finally on vacation! Intern year has been flying by (which is both a good and a bad thing) and it's already November. Such a bittersweet feeling. Before winter smacks us in the face, I wanted to share some pictures of my fall apartment decor. This year, I was inspired by Pinterest and bought larger times, that were a bit more expensive, but really packed a punch. I only decorated my living room and dining room, but I'm so happy with the way they both turned out! I didn't know how to dress up my kitchen or bedroom for the fall since they are smaller spaces (and I didn't want to shell out another $100 decorating them!) so I'm going to leave that challenge for next year.

Alright so the first space you enter once you get into my apartment is the living room. The side table next to the couch was really fun to decorate. The sparkly pumpkin that has "give thanks" carved on it was only $9.99 from HomeGoods and really takes the stage here. It looks gorgeous next to the sparkly autumn leaf stems I picked up from Michael's. Next to it, the small mason jar with an owl on the lid has tiny pinecones inside (which you can't really see in the picture here). I've fallen in love with the look of pinecones in the fall. And then I decided to scatter a few smaller knick knacks like some the Halloween-themed napkins from HomeGoods, some candy in a bowl, and these cute fall-shaped coasters I found at Stop & Shop.

Next to the side table is, of course, the sofa. I don't think picture does justice to exactly how bold and beautiful the pillows really look. These were easily the most expensive items I bought this season, but they were so worth it because of how beautiful they make my living room look. They really steal the whole show. All pieces are from HomeGoods. The crimson pillows came in a set of 2 for $24.99, and as a bonus, they multitask for both fall and Christmas. The center beaded pillow is my favorite find of the season, and it was only $16.99! It's a beautiful, beautiful beaded and sequined pillow in the shape of a pumpkin and autumn leaves.

Next we get to the coffee table. There are soooo many gorgeous fall centerpiece ideas on Pinterest. But, I sort of made my own look this year. I wanted to use this gold tray I picked up at Target back in July as the base for my centerpiece. I scattered some cinnamon-scented pinecones with dried leaves and fruit that I bought at Michael's to bring that cozy, rustic, fall look to my living room. I found the jar of beaded pumpkins and berries for only $6.99, and the WoodWick candle (I believe the scent is Apple Crisp) for $7.99 both at HomeGoods and they make excellent additions to the centerpiece since they embody the rich colors of fall. The tray was still looking a bit bare so I found some glittered copper acorns and autumn-colored glass beads at Michael's and added them to gold votive holders for an extra pop of color and texture. All in all, it may not be the most Pinterest-goalworthy coffee table center piece out there, but I really had a fun time making it and I don't think it turned out too shabby at all.

Lastly, the dining table. I'm so so so excited that I finally have a dining table in my apartment. Dressing up the dining table is so much fun. The possibilities are limitless. I wanted to add a dash of plaid to my fall apartment decor, and this tablecloth and cloth napkins really fit the bill with their rustic autumn colors. I recycled my cream-colored placemats from the summer, but purchased the Spice Route plates and bowls from Pier 1 Imports to put on top of them. I have had my eye on this collection for soooo long. It's the perfect shade of crimson for the fall and winter, and makes a bold statement. So happy that I finally purchased these. And lastly, since my dining table is small, I kept the centerpiece simple with just this adorable ceramic mason jar-esque vase containing sunflowers and pumpkins.

I hope you guys liked my little apartment decor tour. It's not as beautiful as the ones you see on Pinterest. However, I wanted to keep it simple, but really make a statement and I'm happy that I accomplished just that. Definitely room for improvement next year, I'm thinking maybe with lights and maybe some more artwork. There's a couple pieces I forgot to take a photo of, like my Halloween ornament tree and my vase with some more autumn stems, but I'll add them to this post once I get back to New York. All in all, I had a really fun time decorating my apartment and loved the way it turned out, especially for a small space. :)

I ♥ Fall Tag

Monday, October 31, 2016

Happy Halloween lovelies! I've done this tag every year since I've had a blog. Although it's a little later than last year, I update this thing for 2016! And what better day to do it than Halloween day itself. My goal is to do this post without rambling. Ready, set, let's go! Oh, and you can check out my I ♥ Fall tag from last year here.

1. Favorite fall lip product
I haven't been using too much makeup this fall, but Almay's lip butters and Fresh Sugar lip treatment in Rose have been my go-to lip products recently because of the intense hydration both of these products provide, while still giving my lips a boost of color.

2. Favorite fall nail polish
I have been loving the way Essie's Bahama Mama looks on my nails in the fall.

3. Favorite Starbucks fall drink
While you can do no wrong with Starbucks PSL, their new fall drink, the Chile Mocha, is actually pretty damn delicious. Maybe even tastier than the PSL. I've been craving another one since I tried it a few weeks ago!

4. Favorite fall candle
Bath & Body Works Cinnamon Sugared Doughnut, yummmm.

5. Favorite fall scarf or accessory
I recently bought this burnt orange infinity scarf from Forever 21 that I have been obsessssssed with. I used to hate infinity scarves, but I love the color of this scarf and the way it drapes down around my neck. I also bought a crimson hair bow that I've been meaning to try out from there.

6. Haunted house, haunted hay ride, or haunted corn maze
My answer is still that I'm mortified by haunted anything. But I went in my very first (non-haunted) corn maze this fall and it was actually a lot of fun!

7. Favorite Halloween movie
Coraline gives me the creeps every time I watch it. Hocus Pocus is another feel-good Halloween movie.

8. Favorite candy to eat on Halloween
Milky Ways and Kit-Kats! Although anything chocolatey is delicious.

9. What are you dressing up for as Halloween?
Sadly, nothing since I was traveling home to my parents house this weekend :( going to be passing out Halloween candy to trick or treaters this year!

10. What is your favorite thing about fall?
Nothing beats going to a park, a nature trail, or a pumpkin patch on a cool, crisp autumn morning with gorgeous amber-red trees surrounding you while munching on cider donuts and drinking apple cider.

Ulta Fall Haul ♥

Thursday, October 20, 2016

Did I need new makeup? Definitely not. But I couldn't resist! I was going through my makeup collection the other day and realized I hadn't gone makeup shopping in months. Seriously, I think the last time I bought new makeup was back in December. So naturally, I felt like I needed some new goodies to play with, and rushed out to Ulta. None of the products I got are new or limited edition. Drugstore brands haven''t really come out with exciting new collections this fall. So I decided to pick up a few things I've had my eye on for the past few months.

Makeup Revolution Iconic 1 Redemption Eyeshadow Palette -- This palette is a dupe for the iconic Urban Decay Naked Eyeshadow palette. I lost my UD palette a few years ago at a hotel, but cringed at the thought of shelling out another $50 to purchase a new Naked palette. When I saw this palette at Ulta for $7, I knew I had to get it. The colors seem identical to the UD Naked palette, and the reviews on these look excellent too. Expect a blogpost with this soon if all goes well.

Almay Smart Shade Lip Butter in Berry Medium -- Back about five years ago, I was obsessed with the Revlon lip butters. Last year, their sister company Almay released their own line of lip butters. I owned every single color in the Revlon lip butter line and thought nothing could come close to their formula...but I was mistaken. The Almay lip butters are so much creamier and apply seamlessly on the lips. I already own two colors in this line, but picked up this gorgeous berry shade for the fall and winter season. As with the Revlon lip butters, my favorite part is that they are the perfect consistency between a lipstick and tinted lip balm, and are not too sheer but not too opaque either.

Palladio Shadow & Liner Herbal Crayon in Iced Coffee -- Palladio is another makeup brand that is new to Ulta. The crayons were on sale at Ulta, so I decided to pick one up and try it. The color is a cool taupe that I think would look pretty as a liner brighten up the eyes on a no makeup day.

NYX Cosmetics Hot Singles Eyeshadows in Sex Kitten and Gold Lust -- NYX makes some of the best drugstore eyeshadows. This particular formula is one of their older ones, but is my preference over their newer Prismatic eyeshadows. Mainly because I can depot these and pop them in my Z-palette. Second because the packaging and product is more sturdy. I picked up these two shades because they're gorgeous, everyday colors that make an essential addition to my Z-palette.

Neutrogena Healthy Skin Blush in Flushed -- How gorgeous is this blush. Such a beautiful bright, watermelon pink color that's like a mattified version of Benefit's Bella Bamba. I definitely don't have a color like this in my collection, which is why I had to get my hands on it this fall. It would make a gorgeous color for the summer, but I could also see it giving that just-came-out-of-the-chill flush to the cheeks.

Nivea A Kiss of Milk & Honey Soothing Lip Care -- I have no shortage of clear lip balms. In fact, I have an embarrassing amount compared to how often I actually remember to apply lip balm. But I was shopping at Ulta, and I couldn't help but pick this baby up. It's one of my favorite lip balms out there. The scent is uber yummy and cozy, and the most hydrating balm I've ever tried. I prefer it to the EOS lip balm, Chapstick, Burt's Bees, etc.

Soap & Glory Rich & Foamous Body Wash
Soap & Glory Smoothie Star Body Milk Lotion

I swear I had no intention of picking up this product when I first stepped foot in Ulta. But of course I was perusing the aisles, saw that Soap & Glory products were buy one, get the other half off and had to get this. I hate the classic S&G scent. Most people love it, but it makes me nauseous. So I thought no way in hell will I ever use any S&G body products. But I was wrong. I am obsessed with their Smoothie Star line. It smells like oats, almonds, and brown sugar...the most cozy, comforting scent for winter time. Luckily, winter also happens to be the season when my skin becomes parched and cracked and in desperate need of body lotion. I used to get the Bath & Body Works body lotions and butters, but they're all so richly scented it's sort of become off-putting to me. So I decided to try the S&G body lotion this winter because of the pleasing scent, the fact that the lotion comes with a pump ( I hate greasy lotion hands), and of course the cute pink packaging. As I was picking up the body lotion, I of course decided to get the body wash with the same oatmeal sugar scent. Cannot wait to use these babies this winter <3

Good evening beautifuls, and Happy Monday! I'm hoping you all had a fantastic weekend, I know I sure did. On Saturday I went to a corn maze in the Hamptons and finally ate some apple cider donuts!  And then on Sunday I went down to the city where I had brunch with some co-interns and then went to see Matilda on Broadway. I ended up spending wayyyyy too much money this weekend, but it was so worth it because of all the cool experiences I've had in just one weekend.

I'm currently on a very chill rotation where I literally work like 4-6 hours a day and it's all really cool stuff like teaching, going to the WIC office, and doing at-home assignments about the social determinants of medicine. Really cool, and very chill except for the day I'm floated to the floor and have an Urgi shift. But besides that it's incredibly chill. Much needed break.

I'm so proud of myself, I conquered my fears and went to the doctor last Friday. I've literally been so scared to go to the doctor, but it was very liberating. I cried after realizing how high my weight had climbed, but there's only one way from here. I bought a gym membership last month, but didn't get to use it because of my 80-90 hour weeks on NICU. Now that I'm working much less and have more breathing space, it's time to get back on the healthy track. So tonight I decided to relax one last night and order in some Chinese food as a last hurrah. Tomorrow I'm starting my diet....and need to stop spending so much money :X my loan repayment period officially begins November 22nd, so it's my last few weeks to spoil myself rotten until most of my paycheck goes to the loan gods. I've saved up an impressive $8,000 in my savings account which I'm super proud of myself about. Now that I have a good foundation, it's time to start making solid financial decisions and setting up that Roth IRA.

Enough adult talk. I wanted to talk about some recent random things I've been loving. These things are veryyyy random, and none of them are beauty related. I haven't touched my makeup since June. RIP Makeup collection. But the fall and winter's coming up meaning lots of events meaning resurrection of my makeup collection. So watch out!

Fall Favorites! ♥

It's so close to the end of my favorite season of the year, FALL!

I've had such a fun autumn so far, and I'm really sad to see it end SO fast. Feels like September just started yesterday. And next weekend is Halloween! I'm taking my Step 2 CS exam in two days, and I'm really looking forward to being done with it and enjoying these next 3 months off. Well, sprinkled amongst interview days. I'm also planning on doing tons of baking next weekend since I haven't gotten to bake as much as I wanted this fall. I'm thinking Halloween themed cupcakes and maybe brushing up on my cupcake icing flower skills?

Speaking of yummy things, I wanted to take a bit of time out to talk about my fall favorites this year. I tried to pick out a favorite from several different categories from food to beauty to candle to lotions etc. I will say, I haven't worn makeup all that much this fall and honestly have been taking a break from the beauty world, but the following are the beauty products I reached for when I was in the mood. So you know these are true favorites!

Bath & Body Works Ultra Shea Body Cream in Marshmallow Pumpkin Latte (this is the old packaging) -- smells just like marshmallows and a tiny tiny bit of pumpkin. No smell of coffee whatsoever! Super moisturizing and mess-free application, too.

Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette -- the only neutral palette you need! Plus smells like chocolate, yummy

Colourpop Super Shock Cheek in Quarters -- a burnt terracotta blush, such a beautiful nude color for the fall (looks more pinky in the picture than it actually is)

Burt's Bees Lip Shine in Flutter -- beautiful rosey-mauve color that gives lips just the right amount of color and shine. No shimmer, so this is a perfect everyday lip product. I think this would look great on every skin tone

Essie Nail Lacquer in Bahama Mama -- I believe I featured this in last year's fall favorites as well on my old blog. Really pretty berry/wine color for the fall. Great switch up from the typical crimson oxblood red

Bath & Body Works Candle in Leaves -- the cult favorite fall candle. Went through this baby in less than a week this year!

Starbucks Toasted Graham Latte -- tastes like marshmallows/smores! Super delicious fall drink and alternative to when you're sick of the PSL!

Trader Joe's Pumpkin Pancake & Waffle Mix -- oh my goodness, the PERFECT fall weekend breakfast! This tastes like buttermilk pancakes with just the perfect hint of cinnamon and pumpkin. Yummy with a touch of maple syrup!

September 2015 Ipsy Bag

Monday, September 28, 2015

I wanted to put this post up earlier, but I guess better late than never! I really wanted to review this bag for you guys because it was just so freaking good. I swear, Ipsy keeps getting better and better each month. First off, I LOVED THE FREAKING BAG. Hands down, this has been one of the most sophisticated, prettiest makeup bags I've ever seen. The texture and quality of the bag is really nice too. I love the color palette as well, and love the sheer simplicity yet luxurious look it has. Needless to say, I'm definitely going to be using this makeup bag for traveling!

The products this month were really nice as well. I'll start off with my least favorite, the Not Soap, Radio Revitalizing Hand/Body Lotion. I don't like runny hand creams like this. I've become more of a fan of those little metal-like tubes because they're much more potent and less runny than the lotions in bottles. Hope that made sense. The other skin product this month was the Glam Glow Flashmud Brightening Treatment. I've heard SO many good things about this brand, but have never been able to shell out the money for it. I'm very glad I got a sample of one of their face masks this month. I know Sephora has deluxe samples of these masks from time to time, but I always miss it.

The biggest makeup product in the bag this month was the NYX Cosmetics Eyeshadow Trio. I haven't had much luck with these palettes in the past. The quality isn't that great and the shadows tend to crease and fall out over the course of the day. I'm still excited to try these colors though because of the sparkle they bring. To help the shadows stick, I'm glad I got a sample of theBalm Put A Lid On It Eyelid Primer. I swear by the Urban Decay eyeshadow primer, but I'm excited to try a different brand out. As always, theBalm packaging is incredibly adorable. Lastly, I got a cute little nail polish sample, the Formula X Nail Color in Ignite. Really gorgeous color and I've heard amazing things about the formula, so better late than never!
